As some of you might have realized, I’m more into the classic Ducatis than the sleek, state-of-the-art sport bikes. Don’t get me wrong, I love the sport bikes, but there’s just something about the time-tested classic designs that tickles something deeper in me.

In this post, let’s relive the Ducati ST3, a sporttouring model that was discontinued in 2008. Today, even though the Multistrada is the focus of Ducati for touring types, nothing can beat the full-fairing classic appeal of the ST3. Let’s revisit the specs of the ST3.

Specifications

The ST3 features the potent 1000 L-Twin Desmo3 engine and the confidence-inspiring Ducati Trellis frame. With pre-load adjustable 43mm upside-down Showa forks and a fully adjustable Sachs rear shock, the ST3 is equally at ease on twisty mountain roads and cross-country tours. The ST3 also comes in a ST3 S ABS version which features Showa forks, Öhlins rear shocks and ultra-light Marchesini wheels.
